Tech Scorpion Top 5 – 5 Best Cosplays From 2015

The time for 2016 cosplay is well into its creation phase, ready for the cosplaying season, and I realised I was a bit stuck for what I wanted to commit my time to. Previous years I have been ‘The Comedian’ and ‘Mera’, which you can check out in last year’s article about Manchester Comic Con. I like to try and think of something that I am not going to see anyone else do at the event. So far I’ve been lucky, and I’ve turned up as the only homage to my chosen character. I decided to hunt the web for inspirational pictures. There is no dearth of amazing cosplay out there. Going on craftsmanship skill and time put into each costume, I decided to commemorate some of the best I found in a Tech Scorpion Top 5… see if you agree with me:

Featured at NYCC 2015, Thomas DePetrillo created one of the most talked about cosplays in mainstream media, which is no small feat for a pastime that is still considered niche.

Amazing work and dedication in this Heroes of the Storm cosplay, seen at Blizzcon 2015. Over 9 months to build!

The level of detail in this costume, seen at London MCM expo 2015, is brilliant. Kudos to the cosplayer (If you see this, let me know who you are!)

@Black_Jedi has done some fantastic work, and this Thanos is more than just eye catching.

Winner of Blizzcon cosplay 2015, this StarCraft costume is made from real leather and I stagger to think how much it cost.
